Yes, there is a rotary dimmer on the plug cord.
Ceiling Lights & Chandeliers
Which dimmer should I use with well-lit LED Bulbs and pendants?
We recommend Varilight V-Pro dimmers and Casambi units for optimum performance.
How do you install well-lit ceiling lights and pendants?
They are installed into the mains electricity. Please use a fully-qualified electrician for any installation work.
Does an electrician need to install pendant and ceiling lights?
We would recommend that a qualified electrician installs any ceiling and pendant lights.
Which dimmer should I use with the ceiling and pendant lights?
We would recommend pairing our ceiling and pendant lights with Varilight V-Pro for optimum performance
What is a ceiling plate?
Our ceiling plates are inconspicuous flat fittings pre-drilled with holes for hanging multiple pendants at precise distances. They make installation much easier and achieve a better aesthetic. We always recommend using a ceiling plate when hanging three or more pendants.
Is a ceiling plate included?
We supply three ceiling plates: a linear plate for three pendants and a round plate that takes four or nine pendants. They are all white in colour.
LED Bulbs
What are lumens?
Lumens are used to measure brightness: the higher the number, the brighter the bulb. You should buy your LED bulbs according to lumens rather than watts. (A traditional 40w incandescent had around 420 lumens and a 60w incandescent had around 800 lumens.)
What is colour temperature?
Colour temperature is a measurement in kelvin (K) that tells you what colour light an LED bulb will emit. The lower the number the warmer it is, the higher the number the whiter the light. Daylight = 6500k; an incandescent bulb = 2700k; candle light = 1900k.
Are your bulbs dimmable?
All our LED bulbs are dimmable, but they must be paired with the recommended dimmer for optimum performance. We recommend Varilight V-Pro dimmers and Casambi units.
What is CRI and why is it important
CRI stands for Colour Rendering Index. It is a measurement, out of 100, of how accurately a light source will show up the true colours of the objects it illuminates. The higher the CRI the better the quality of light. This is a crucial element of lighting design that should not be ignored. A CRI of more than 93 is considered excellent and all well-lit LED bulbs have a minimum CRI of 93.
What is Dim to Warm?
Dim-to-Warm technology allows you to shape the colour of the light and the mood of your home with a single cleverly-designed bulb. At its brightest the bulb emits a colour temperature of 2800k (similar to an incandescent bulb) but as you dim it down the light gradually gets warmer – right down to 2000k, which is close to candle light.
